The life of J.J. Thomson
J.J. Thompson was not only considered a brilliant man, but he was also known as a very accomplishing man. He was born in Cheetham Hill, Manchester. He was born on December 18, 1856. He became a scholar at Trinity college. He soon became interested in atomic structure. He traveled to many colleges giving out lectures. People published even his work notes. He received medal after medal, and year after year till the day he died. He even discovered a way to separate atoms and molecules with the use of positive rays. His greatest work was when he learned he had discovered the electron in 1897.In the end he married Rose Elizabeth. They had a son and a daughter. The son's name was Sir George Paget Thomson. His son was awarded the nobel peace prize in physics. His daughter's name was Joan Paget Thomson. J.J. Thomson lived a total of 84 great years. In my opinion J.J. Thomson had accomplished everything he possible could've in his lifetime.
